COVID-19 Community Venue Information
We welcome the Government’s announcement about new Level 2 guidelines for gatherings of up to 100 people. We’re working through what this means for our venue capacities to ensure we comply with COVID-19 health and safety guidelines for increased group use from 12pm Friday 29 May and we’ll provide more information over the coming week. Please note that we have begun a phased reopening of our council-operated community venues.
All venues will follow the Covid-19 Level 2 health and safety requirements set out by the government, which requires groups of attendees to be 1 metre apart, not be larger than 100 people in total (excluding staff), within the building, maintain a contact register, and hygiene measures to ensure the health and safety of our community.
Cleaning regimes will be stepped up at all council-run venues and signage promoting safe hygiene practices and to aid physical distancing will be in place.
